Elites Gather at Mar-a-Lago to Celebrate Trump's First Year

No. Not even a smidge of racism or elitism, here.

President Trump is off on another lavish, taxpayer-funded stay at his Mar-a-Lago estate for the weekend.

Aaahhh… the privilege of a king.

Meanwhile, on Thursday night, the sycophants paid top dollar and gathered at the resort to pay homage.

In a celebration of his first year in office (YES… ANOTHER one), the wealthy gathered and partied.

The event was called “Red, White, and Blue Celebration,” and was hosted by the leadership of the “Trumpettes,” socialites who worked to bring in the female vote for Trump during the election.

Among those present and speaking at the event was one of Trump’s most ardent Fox News propagandists, Judge Jeanine Pirro.

Pirro probably best exemplified the attitude of the event, as she took to the stage to address the latest Trump-media mess: sh*thole countries.

Standing on stage, Pirro flaunted the arrogance of the elite:

“Welcome to Mar-a-Lago, a magnificent place. It sure ain’t no sh*thole,” Pirro said, referring to Trump’s comments on African countries.

Newsflash, you petulant shrew: Some so-called sh*tholes are gilded palaces, full of human refuse in expensive garb. I think you’re blinded to your surroundings.

It’s the tone-deaf arrogance that Trump and his supporters display that has elevated the level of what is just wrong about Trump’s original statement.

I don’t have a problem with anyone succeeding and doing well. Kudos to them all! What I do have a problem with is when someone is so puffed up because of their wealth that they actually do feel their circumstances make them superior to those of lesser means.

Circumstances, such as wealth, are like shifting sands, and can change in a flash. A bit of grace might be in their best interest.

But these are a graceless people. Trump has made incivility and cruelty the new hotness.

Pirro went on to defend Trump.

“I love Donald Trump,” she said. “He’s the least racist man I’ve ever met, but I must tell you, race has always been an issue for Donald. Donald is always in a race — in a race against time, in a race against competitors, in a race against corruption, in a race against crime, and a race against terrorism.”

I have a feeling Pirro isn’t hanging in the slums with the commoners often, so her circle of experience may be limited. Trump may just be the least racist man she’s ever met. That doesn’t say a lot about her circle of friends.

To add to the ridiculousness of the night, because Trump was not present (he arrives tonight), they set up a cardboard cutout of he and Melania, so that the attendees would have at least a shadow of their idol to bow before.

Maybe at the next orange mass they can have a cutout of Stormy Daniels by the stage.

Trump, of course, will be holding another celebration on Saturday evening.

He will mark the first anniversary of his inauguration with a party at Mar-a-Lago on Saturday night, where couples paid at least $100,000 for dinner and a photo op with Trump. Others could pay $250,000 to sit in on a roundtable with Trump.

It’s good to be king.
