OAKLAND – Warriors veteran forward Andre Iguodala missed Monday’s game against the Minnesota Timberwolves at Oracle Arena because of what the team called “right hip tightness.”

It is not immediately clear when Iguodala suffered the injury. But the Warriors expect Iguodala to return for Wednesday’s game against the Toronto Raptors at Oracle Arena. Warriors coach Steve Kerr did not mention Iguodala’s injury before the game, but he said he would “anticipate” sitting Iguodala and veteran reserve Shaun Livingston “at some point.”

With the Warriors nursing long-term injuries to Stephen Curry (11 games) and Draymond Green (13 of 15), Aguodala logged 16 consecutive games, while Livingston played in 14 consecutive games. Normally, Kerr will find occasional rest games both for the 34-year-old Iguodala and 33-year-old Livingston. Green returned for Monday’s game against Minnesota, and Curry has played in the last four games. So, Kerr suggested he would change course soon.

“We will definitely be looking at some of those options,” Kerr said. “The league has really helped us out this year and everybody by avoiding those stretches of clumps of games. It’s been really helpful to have a game every other day.”

Earlier this season, Livingston missed nine consecutive games because of a sore right foot. Iguodala has missed two games, one because of a tightness in his left calf (vs. Utah on Oct. 19) and the other for rest (vs. Memphis on Nov. 8.

Iguodala has averaged 4.8 points on 46 percent shooting in 23.4 minutes through 25 games, including 11 as a starter. Livingston has averaged 4.8 points on 45.3 percent shooting in 16.6 minutes through 18 games.
