PALO ALTO — A boutique fitness studio that combines exercise and nutritional coaching has opened in Palo Alto, marking an expansion of MNTSTUDIO.
A woman-owned, independent workout business, MNTSTUDIO has opened at 575 High St., less than a block from Palo Alto’s busy University Avenue.
“We’re here to make people’s lives healthier, more balanced, and happier through movement,” Elaine Hayes, founder and principal executive of MNTSTUDIO, said in a post on one of the company’s social media platforms.
The new 1,800-square-foot studio, in addition to workouts, will also offer MNT The Shop, a retail arm of the fitness center. The MNT part of the name stands for “Move, Nourish, Transform.”
MNTSTUDIO uses familiar Pilates techniques and combines Pilates with barre workouts. That means participants are exposed to a fusion of exercises and moves inspired by ballet, dance, yoga, and strength training, along with all the typical elements expected from a workout.
Classes start at $38 for a drop-in and $249 for monthly unlimited options. New students receive special pricing.
Since 2013, MNTStudio has operated in San Francisco’s SOMA district. The Palo Alto store marks the company’s second location.
“It’s with the support of our community, a healthy approach to eating, and our amazing fitness classes that we see people transforming their lives for the better every day,” Hayes said in an MNTSTUDIO Instagram post.
