A 9-year-old boy is suspected of shooting three other students with a BB gun at his Pasadena school on Thursday.

The victims didn’t sustain serious injuries and didn’t require medical treatment, Pasadena Police spokesman Lt. Bill Grisafe said.

It happened at Washington Elementary STEM Magnet School around 7:30 a.m. Police don’t know yet what prompted the boy to bring a BB gun pistol to the campus at 1520 N. Raymond Ave.

He said a mother of one of the victims called police around 8:45 a.m. Officers contacted the boy and his parents and are talking to them.

There is nothing that indicates the Pasadena case is related to the shooting at Saugus High School, according to Grisafe.

He said it’s undetermined at this point if the boy will be arrested or not.
