Call for economic support for Indian-administered Kashmir

India’s government says it will spend $250bn to help prop up the economy nationwide, but business leaders in Kashmir say they are being forgotten.

India reported another record daily jump of almost 8,000 new coronavirus infections on Saturday.

The government is trying to cushion the economy from its worst contraction in 40 years.

One region particularly affected is Indian-administered Kashmir where business leaders are predicting a disaster.
