Fifteen people were shot and four of them were killed in shootings across Baltimore since Friday night, police said. A teenage boy and a 20-year-old man were among the injured.

Friday

Many of the shootings happened Friday night. At 8:38 p.m., police were called to the 1600 block of Normal Ave. in Northeast Baltimore’s Darley Park neighborhood and found a 17-year-old boy who had been shot. Police said he was taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.

Then, shortly after 9 p.m., two men were injured in another shooting. Police said officers were called to the 3600 block of 9th Street in the Brooklyn neighborhood of South Baltimore and found a 31-year-old man who had been shot. Another man, 27, walked into an area hospital with gunshot wounds, and police determined he was a second victim from the same shooting.

At 9:41 p.m., a 28-year-old man was also shot in South Baltimore in the 1600 block of Cypress St. in the Curtis Bay neighborhood, according to police. He was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Another shooting victim, a 27-year-old man, walked into a hospital at about 10 p.m. after he was shot in the arm, police said. Police did not say where they believe the shooting occurred. Central District shooting detectives are investigating.

At 11:23 p.m., officers patrolling the York Road corridor heard gunfire, police said. They found an unidentified man, unresponsive and suffering from gunshot wounds. Medics pronounced him dead at the scene. Investigators determined the shooting occurred in the 500 block of Sheridan Ave.

Saturday

Saturday, at 4:41 a.m., officers found a 21-year-old woman who had been shot in the leg in the 1500 block of E. Madison St. in the Gay Street neighborhood, police said. She was taken to a hospital.

Later Saturday, at about 1:33 p.m., Southern District officers responded to a reported shooting in the 1800 block of Eagle St. in Southwest Baltimore’s Carrollton Ridge neighborhood. They found a 29-year-old man, unresponsive and shot in the head. He was taken to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where he was pronounced dead.

At around 2:42 p.m., officers went to an area hospital over reports of a walk-in shooting victim. At the hospital, they saw a 23-year-old man shot in the upper body and being treated.

Before the victim’s arrival, Western District officers responded to gunfire reports in the 300 block of N. Calhoun St. in West Baltimore’s Franklin Square neighborhood and found no victim. Shooting detectives are investigating that incident. A police news release did not specify if the shooting victim was from the same incident under investigation.

Sunday

Three more shootings were reported Sunday between 4:40 and 5:40 a.m. None of the three shootings resulted in injuries presumed to be life-threatening as of Sunday around noon, according to Baltimore Police Department spokeswoman Lindsey Eldridge. Two more shootings — one of them fatal — were reported later in the day.

First, around 4:40 a.m., officers went to a local hospital where a 20-year-old victim received treatment for a gunshot wound “to the body,” according to a police news release. Central District shooting detectives are investigating.

Around 5:30 a.m., officers were called for reports of a shooting in the 5900 block of Benton Heights Ave. in the Glenham-Belford neighborhood of Northeast Baltimore. Officers found a man, 34, with gunshot wounds to his arm. He was taken to a local hospital. Shooting detectives are investigating.

About 10 minutes later, around 5:40 a.m., officers were called to an area hospital after a 29-year-old man sought treatment for gunshot wounds to his body. The victim said he was shot at the intersection of Baker Street and Moreland Avenue in West Baltimore’s Coppin Heights/Ash-Co-East neighborhood, according to a police news release.

Three homicides have been reported within a few blocks of the intersection since May, according to The Baltimore Sun’s homicide database. That includes Dante Williams, 38, who died after a shooting in September. Eighteen of the 269 homicides in 2020 from The Sun’s database have come from the ZIP code 21216, in which the 29-year-old man was shot early Sunday.

A fourth shooting Sunday was reported around 11:50 a.m. An officer found a man, 26, suffering from a gunshot to his upper body, according to a news release. The victim was transported to a local hospital. His condition was not immediately known.

Shooting detectives are investigating and believe the shooting occurred in the 2400 block of Barclay Street in Central Baltimore’s Barclay neighborhood.

Around 3:10 p.m. Sunday, officers responded to 3600 block of W. Rogers Ave., in Northwest Baltimore’s Arlington neighborhood, and found a man, 34, with gunshot wounds. He was taken to Sinai Hospital and was pronounced dead. Homicide detectives are investigating, according to a release.

At approximately 7:20 p.m., Southeast District officers were dispatched to the 6600 block of Holabird Ave. to investigate a reported shooting.

Officers observed a 20-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to an area hospital. Southeast District shooting detectives responded and assumed control over the investigation.
