Over 700 coronavirus patients in Moscow are on ventilators

MOSCOW, July 1./TASS/. The number of coronavirus patients on artificial lung ventilation grew in Moscow by 1.6-times over the past two weeks, to 709, the Moscow crisis center monitoring the coronavirus situation said on its Telegram channel Thursday.

"The number of COVID-19 patients on artificial lung ventilation was 457 on June 14 and 709 on July 1," it said.

The crisis center reported 7,597 new coronavirus cases in Moscow over the past 24 hours. As many as 1,690 people were hospitalized and 108 patients died. Another 5,934 patients recovered in the past 24 hours. The overall number of recoveries grew to 1,164,653, it said.
