Moscow hospitals treat 455 COVID-19 patients on lung ventilators, fewest since June 14

The highest value over the past two months, according to an infographic posted on the center’s Telegram channel, was registered on July 5

MOSCOW, August 4. /TASS/. The number of coronavirus patients on artificial lung ventilators at Moscow hospitals has decreased to 455, representing the lowest number since June 14, according to the anti-coronavirus crisis center.

"In Moscow, 2,502 new cases of the coronavirus infection have been detected. Over the past 24 hours, 861 people have been hospitalized. Some 455 people are on lung ventilators," the crisis center said.

The highest value over the past two months, according to an infographic posted on the center’s Telegram channel, was registered on July 5, when 735 coronavirus patients were on lung ventilators at the capital’s hospitals.

"Another 4,302 patients have recovered in the city after undergoing treatment for the coronavirus infection. In all, the number of people who recovered from the infection has increased to 1,374,447. In the capital, 76 patients died, they all had confirmed pneumonia diagnosed and a positive test result for the presence of COVID-19," the crisis center added.
