MORGAN HILL – A 25-year-old man was killed in a rollover crash Sunday near Morgan Hill, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision was reported at about 2:15 a.m. on southbound Highway 101 north of Bailey Avenue.
The CHP said the man was driving a 2015 Nissan in the second lane from the left when he turned to the left and hit the right rear side of a 2014 Honda in the left-most lane. The man lost control of the Nissan, which overturned, and he was ejected.
The crash left the man with fatal injuries, the CHP said.
The Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office will release the man’s identity once it has been confirmed and his next of kin is notified.
It was not immediately known if drugs or alcohol played a role in the collision. The CHP is asking anyone who witnessed the crash to contact the investigating officer at 408-848-2324.
