PUBLISHED: | UPDATED:

A missing man’s body was pulled out of Baltimore’s Inner Harbor on Sunday, according to police.

Mpoko Romain, 27, had been reported missing a week before after being last seen near the harbor, Baltimore Police said in a Monday news release saying he had been found.

Three shootings on Sunday, each injuring a man, occurred just a few blocks apart.

Detectives are “looking into a possible connection of the recent violence” in the Western District over the past weekend, Baltimore Police spokesperson Niki Fennoy said in an email Monday morning.

Officers responded around 8:35 p.m. to the 1700 block of West North Avenue near the Penn North and Sandtown-Winchester neighborhoods and found a 32-year-old man with a gunshot wound, Baltimore Police said. Medics took the victim to a hospital, police said.

Officers responded Sunday around 9 a.m. to the 2400 block of Woodbrook Avenue in the Penn North neighborhood and found a 22-year-old man with gunshot wounds, police said. The victim was taken to a hospital, police said.

About five hours earlier, around 4:10 a.m., officers responded to the 500 block of Sanford Place in the Druid Heights neighborhood and found a 34-year-old man with gunshot wounds. Medics took the victim to a hospital, police said.
