A man died Monday morning after being struck by a vehicle while he was crossing U.S. Route 1 in Howard County, police said.
Howard County Police said in a Monday news release that a dark-colored sedan did not stop after striking the man at about 3 a.m. The vehicle was traveling south on Washington Boulevard near Patuxent Range Road in Jessup and hit the man, who died at the scene.
Police said investigators believe the man, who was not identified, was not crossing a crosswalk.
